Here is some other reference information. Here is an outline of the logic settings and data connections When the Sorter Mode is changed to 2 (Logic Mode), it will change to -1 after each item goes though which gives the IO path enough time to send 1 or 0 to the Sorter Output value once it calculates. When the Sorter Output Setting is -1, it won't let anything through. I used these values to do some math and change the Sorter Output values to 0 (Right output slot) for the ores and 1 (Left output slot) for the Mining Belt. From what I can tell, all of the Ores have Class ID 10, and the Mining Belt has ID 16, and it's 0 when empty. The Sorter info below is how you then keep the belt from going to the furnace, etc.īasically, the Sorter Output values are changed based upon what Class ID is in the Import slot on the Sorter. I believe I have found a reliable method to do this with I/O chips if this is helpful for anyone.Įdit: I forgot to mention you have to also put the Unloader (from Stacker Kit) that is connected to the Sorter by chutes to actually unload the belt. I couldn't find a really useful explanation of how to automate a sorter system that empties a mining belt and route the ores to a furnace and the belt back out without using IC/Computer.
